Ultrasound developer Fujifilm SonoSite is partnering with Vivid Medical to copromote the firm's VividTrac video intubation device.
A pocket-sized, single-use device, VividTrac features a USB interface for connection to a variety of display systems, according to the vendors. It includes a built-in antifogging lens and a magnified field-of-view to provide high-resolution images for accurate tube placement and high rates of first-pass intubation success.
VividTrac's architecture is being modified to enable compatibility with SonoSite ultrasound systems, the firms said.
