U.K. ultrasound training developer MedaPhor has expanded its U.S. sales team and opened a U.S. subsidiary to sell its ScanTrainer range of ultrasound simulators in North America.
The company said it has doubled its sales totals for the third consecutive year and now has more than 100 systems installed in 11 countries around the world. Its main product, ScanTrainer, is a virtual-reality-based ultrasound training simulator that enables trainees to develop their skills and hand-eye coordination in a realistic environment, according to MedaPhor.
The company mentioned that it also recently developed a new transabdominal simulator intended for the ob/gyn, general medical, and emergency medicine markets.
