Endoscopic ultrasound developer Olympus has launched its EU-ME2 ultrasound processor designed to integrate endoscopic and endobronchial ultrasound (EUS/EBUS) images on a single workstation.
For EUS, the EU-ME2 processor targets gastroenterologists performing a wide range of EUS procedures. Its features improve visualization and assist in diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures for cancers and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and surrounding organs, such as the pancreas, bile duct, liver, spleen, and gallbladder, according to Olympus.
The system also offers full support for EBUS procedures to visualize the airways and adjacent structures. EU-ME2 offers both linear and radial EBUS capabilities in one ultrasound processor for greater procedural and cost efficiencies, the company said.
EU-ME2 is compatible with a range of Olympus EUS and EBUS scopes and ultrasound miniature probes.
