Ultrasound acoustic measurement and testing firm Acertara Acoustic Laboratories has received a patent for technology used in the remote maintenance of imaging devices.
Patent No. 8,896,439 from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office was issued to two members of the company's R&D team for the technology. The R&D team has received more than 45 U.S. and international patents, Acertara said.
The firm also said it plans to release two new test devices in 2015 that will enable its customers to keep pace with more complex ultrasound technologies.
