ASE, Ke Labs to collaborate

The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and Knowledge Engineering Laboratories (Ke Labs) have signed a collaboration agreement.

Under terms of the deal, the two organizations will develop and market a software application designed to ensure quality and consistency of cardiac ultrasound image review, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and educate users about interesting cases and new techniques.

The package is called the "Echocardiography Test and Teach Application," and it was developed with guidance from ASE founder Dr. Harvey Feigenbaum of Indiana University Health.

The software will be made available to individuals and institutions through an annual subscription software license. It will debut at ASE's upcoming June meeting in Boston.
