Radiology equipment provider Summit Imaging said it is expanding its services to include the repair of portable ultrasound systems.
Portable systems have grown in popularity in recent years, but most repairs have been handled by original equipment manufacturers, which can lead to downtime, according to the company.
Summit said it will offer free 24/7 technical support and fast repairs; its current average repair time for transducers is 48 hours. The company will also provide next-day delivery of replacement parts and transducers, as well as a six-month warranty for parts and services.
