Contrast developer Bracco Imaging announced that the first echocardiography imaging procedure with Lumason (previously known as SonoVue) has been performed in the U.S. at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.
Lumason is indicated for patients whose echocardiography images are hard to see with ultrasound. This procedure is the first performed in the U.S. since Lumason was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in October 2014.
