Medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International has released its new TE7 touchscreen ultrasound system for point-of-care settings.
The system offers tablet-like operation, one-touch image optimization, and exam presets -- all with no keyboard. Users select a focused exam preset and relevant functions become accessible, according to the firm.
The system has cardiac functionality, including continuous wave Doppler and a transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) transducer. It has three transducer connectors, a 3-second start-up time from standby, built-in wireless communication, and two hours of battery life. It can also be mounted on a wall.
Other features include the following:
- Emergency department-specific applications
- iTouch one-touch image optimization
- iNeedle optimized needle visualization with dedicated nerve exam presets
- Full suite of transducers
- Height adjustable cart with retractable cord
