Korean ultrasound technology developer Alpinion Medical Systems has added a new member to its E-Cube line of ultrasound scanners.

E-Cube 11 is a midrange system suitable for shared services, including general imaging, obstetrics and gynecology, and internal medicine, according to the vendor. The scanner includes a new 10.4-inch capacitive touchscreen and a redesigned interface, which has been designed to reduce exam time and speed up workflow by reducing repetitive movements and adding more programmable keys, Alpinion said.

Other features include an Intel Core i7 central processing unit and an integrated solid-state drive. Alpinion has also utilized its Crystal Signature technology to incorporate a newly adaptive imaging algorithm and enhanced digital signal processing, according to the firm.

E-Cube 11 has also been outfitted with technology for increasing frame rate, adaptive postprocessing capability for each application, and HD digital beamforming, Alpinion said.
