Fujifilm VisualSonics has added to its Vevo line with the introduction of a new in vivo high-frequency ultrasound device for animal research applications.
Vevo Lazr-X combines ultrasound with photoacoustics and can produce images with resolution down to 30 microns, the company said. It was designed for research applications such as oncology, molecular biology, cardiology, and neurobiology.
The device pairs Fujifilm VisualSonics' Vevo 3100 ultrasound system with its Lazr-X cart and features high-resolution MX linear array transducers, according to the firm.
