Fujifilm VisualSonics and Piur Imaging have entered a partnership agreement to offer 3D ultrasound imaging technology to clinicians and researchers
The agreement will see the combination of Fujifilm VisualSonics' Vevo MD high-frequency ultrasound device and Piur's tUS Infinity system for image analysis and 3D rendering. Together, the approach offers the ability to visualize and measure ultrasound volumes in 3D, according to the companies.
The combined technology can support the evaluation of anomalies in dermatology, neurology, and vascular and musculoskeletal clinical research, the companies said.
Clinicians and researchers can purchase Piur's tUS Infinity system as an add-on to Fujifilm VisualSonics' Vevo MD ultrasound device in Europe. Clearances for tUS are pending in the U.S. and Canada, the companies noted.
