The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) has released an updated version of its sonography work standards.
The document, titled "Industry Standards for the Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders in Sonography," is the product of a 2016 conference on work-related musculoskeletal disorders that involved 26 professional sonography organizations, accreditation bodies, and manufacturers, the SDMS said. It updates a 2003 version.
The standards are available on the society's website and will also be published in the September/October 2017 issue of the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
