Kolo Medical plans to release its SiliconWave L38-22 linear-array ultrasound transducer next month at the IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium in Washington, DC.
The transducer is designed for ultrahigh-resolution ultrasound imaging and is compatible with a wide range of clinical ultrasound platforms. It features a center frequency of 30 MHz for superficial imaging in applications such as dermatology and rheumatology.
The device can also be used to image superficial tendons and nerves, as well as joints of the wrist, hand, and foot, the company said.
