The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) has announced the winners of its 2017 Scientific Presentation Competition.
The two-part competition encourages sonographers to write original presentation summary papers that may address clinical research, educational techniques, patient care, sonography department management, case studies presenting a diagnostic challenge, or other areas related to diagnostic medical sonography.
The first-place presentation was on the detection and serial assessment of Abernethy malformation in a male patient. The second place presentation was on student perceptions and outcomes in open-book testing in ultrasound physics.
