Computer software and artificial intelligence (AI) company RSIP Vision has unveiled new medical ultrasound software that can evaluate the heart at point-of-care (POC) settings in the parasternal long-axis (PLAX) view.
The PLAX view allows for evaluation of the heart's valvular function and provides a solid assessment of the heart's overall function, RSIP Vision said. The vendor-neutral software will be available to third-party ultrasound manufacturers and medical devices vendors and will aid in the immediate detection of cardiac pathologies.
The software is designed to improve upon point-of-care (POC) echocardiography, the firm added.
