Transmission ultrasound breast imaging developer QT Imaging has named Dutch firm Freedom Ventures as exclusive distributor of its QTscan device for the European, Middle Eastern, and North African markets (EMEA). Freedom Ventures will do business as QT Scan.

The company is currently seeking CE marking as well, it said. QTscan produces reflection- and transmission-mode ultrasound images of the breast, and it is not intended to replace screening mammography, according to the firm.
