Startup artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Medo AI and Canadian radiology partnership group Medical Imaging Consultants have inked a partnership agreement on the development and implementation of ultrasound imaging products.
Their first collaboration is an application called Medo Thyroid, which drastically simplifies thyroid examinations, Medo said in a release. The software was designed to enable technologists to use a simplified thyroid protocol that results in shorter scan times. Medo Thyroid also simplifies the Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TI-RADS) protocol by allowing for easier and more consistent assessment of nodules by technologists, the company said.
Medical Imaging Consultants is a group of more than 90 radiologists providing diagnostic imaging services to a dozen hospitals and community health centers in the Edmonton, Alberta area. Under the agreement, the group will have early access to new Medo products.
Medo was founded in 2018 with a specific focus on the ultrasound diagnostic imaging market.
