Ultrasound industry veteran Glen McLaughlin, PhD, has joined image-guided therapy developer YorLabs as president and CEO.
Previously with ultrasound developer Mindray, McLaughlin is best known as the founder of Zonare Medical Systems, which was founded in 1999 and was acquired by Mindray in 2013.
McLaughlin held a variety of positions at Zonare, including chief technology officer and vice president of product marketing and engineering. At Mindray, he was president of the company's Innovation Center in Silicon Valley and served as vice president of global corporate partnerships and chief product officer of worldwide ultrasound production.
McLaughlin rounds out the executive suite at YorLabs, which includes Anshumali Roy as chief technology officer and William "Bill" Starling as named chairman of the board.
YorLabs is developing intracardiac image-guided therapy technology that's designed to be more cost-effective and improve workflow.
