Samsung subsidiary Boston Imaging has received the U.S. Defense Health Agency's authority-to-operate (ATO) designation for three more ultrasound systems.
The ATO designation for Samsung's HM70 EVO, HS60, and V8 ultrasound scanners enables the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to use the systems in its medical treatment facilities (MTFs) worldwide, according to the company.
Samsung's RS85 Prestige ultrasound system and G-Series digital radiography (DR) platform had already received the ATO designation. Samsung also noted that its DR and ultrasound portfolio have successfully completed testing to provide DICOM functionality needed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the DoD.
