Ultrasound technology developer Butterfly Network is touting the success of its Butterfly iQ+ point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) technology in U.S. medical schools.
The news comes as the Indiana University School of Medicine recently announced its investment in Butterfly iQ+ technology to enhance training for its medical students. Training is also being offered to university faculty, residents, and fellows across family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, anesthesia, ob/gyn, surgery, and critical care, Butterfly said.
Butterfly's device sales into U.S. medical schools have more than doubled in volume during the first half of 2023 over 2022, according to the firm.
