GE HealthCare launches Venue Sprint POCUS device

GE HealthCare (GEHC) has launched Venue Sprint, a point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) device that comes in tablet form and includes the company's wireless Vscan Air dual probes.

Venue family ultrasound systems will also now offer wireless probe connectivity, supplementary advanced clinical tools, and the latest ViewPoint 6 updates. Venue Sprint also features AI-enabled resources and documentation tools.

Other Venue systems will gain optional integration of wireless Vscan Air dual-probes, and all Venue devices have access to Caption Guidance, which provides turn-by-turn, on-screen guidance to help capture diagnostic-quality cardiac ultrasound images. The Venue family of systems also offers optional clinical tools to assist users of varying ultrasound experience levels. These options include a bladder volume tool, auto volume flow, the Venue Coach MSK documentation tool, and features that align with guidelines by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).

GE HealthCare plans to showcase its Venue family ultrasound systems at the ACEP Scientific Assembly, to be held from September 29 to October 2 in Las Vegas, NV. The company added that the Venue family is available in the U.S. and will launch in key countries around the globe this year. Caption Guidance is currently only available in the U.S.
