GE HealthCare has launched the bkActiv S series for nonsurgical urology, colorectal, and pelvic floor procedures with intraoperative ultrasound guidance.
The bkActiv S series is part of the bkPortfolio family of Active Imaging systems. It supports real-time decision-making and includes features such as an intuitive, modern interface and Prostate Volume Assist (PVA), an AI-powered feature that automates prostate measurements.
The series includes a touch interface with TruSense technology and customizable options, allowing users to personalize their preferred layout. Smart Button transducer technology also gives users the option to select from several functionalities for user control and flexibility, the company said.
The system's Image Compare mode aims to assist clinicians in retrieving a stored image and viewing it alongside a live ultrasound image.
The bkActiv S series also integrates PRISM Technology, which includes the TruFocus algorithm for auto-optimization of images, and Adaptive Noise Suppression to reduce noise on images, GEHC said.
