Mammography vendor Instrumentarium Imaging of Milwaukee has signed an agreement with Hayward, CA-based Alara to market Alara's MetriScan bone density system to breast imaging centers in the U.S. MetriScan is a desktop, storage phosphor-based unit that employs radiographic absorptiometry to scan fingers in less than one second with a low radiation dose, according to the companies.
