Hitachi to sell CADx system in Japan

CADx Medical Systems of Laval, Quebec has signed an agreement with Hitachi Medical of Tokyo covering sales of CADx's Second Look computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system in Japan. Hitachi has exclusive Japanese rights to sell and service the system, which uses computer algorithms to highlight suspicious areas on mammograms.

Second Look is now available for commercial use throughout Europe, Latin America, Canada, and the Asia/Pacific region. CADx is awaiting FDA approval for the product in the U.S.
