Mammography vendor Fischer Imaging has hired imaging industry veteran Gerald Knudson as CEO. Knudson replaces Louis Rivelli, who will be advising Fischer on operational matters during a transition period, according to the Denver-based vendor.
Knudson has been serving on Fischer's board since 2000. As the firm works to promote its SenoScan full-field digital mammography system (FFDM) and market growth in screening mammography procedures, it will focus on expanding its direct sales force in both the U.S. and Europe, Knudson said.
