Agfa HealthCare has formally released DryStar 4500 M, a full-field digital mammography printer designed for printing in restricted spaces, such in or near mammography rooms. In addition to FFDM, DryStar 4500 M is suitable for routine digital applications, including computed radiography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, according to the Mortsel, Belgium-based vendor.
The printer provides processing speeds of up to 80 sheets per hour for 8 x 10-inch films and 60 sheets per hour for 10 x 12-inch films, Agfa said. The printer, which uses the vendor's DryStar Mammo film, provides maximum density imaging (DMAX) of 3.6 and resolution of 508 ppi. It also comes with dual film trays.
