Siemens gets MammoReport(Plus) clearance

Multimodality vendor Siemens Medical Solutions has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) marketing clearance for its mammography soft-copy reporting workstation, MammoReport(Plus).

The clearance will enable the processing of computer-aided detection (CAD) images and mammograms from approved vendors, expanded indications for multimodality viewing, and use of the workstation with FDA-cleared monitors for the interpretation of lossless compressed images on the Microsoft Windows-based workstation, the Malvern, PA-based developer said.
