2006 11 08 16 23 46 706In the women's imaging section of its RSNA booth, Malvern, PA-based Siemens Medical Solutions will highlight Mammomat Novation DR, its full-field digital mammography system based on amorphous selenium detector technology.

Novation's paddle design makes breast exams more comfortable for patients, according to the company. The system allows clinicians to image a larger range of patient sizes because of its 24 x 29-cm detector, and the unit is packaged with syngo MammoReport, the company's dedicated workstation for mammography.
