Intelerad gets FDA nod, installs PACS down under

Montreal-based PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared its IntelePACS and InteleViewer Workstations for the interpretation of digital mammographic images.

Digital mammography is a new indication for use for IntelePACS under FDA guidelines. The InteleViewer Workstation, the standalone version of the IntelePACS viewer InteleViewer Enterprise, also is covered by the FDA decision.

Intelerad also completed installation of its IntelePACS at Bendigo Radiology of Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Bendigo Radiology services 21 sites across the region, covering a broad range of imaging modalities.
