The U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) has selected Bedford, MA-based Hologic to supply mammography computer-aided detection (CAD) units.
The CAD systems will be installed this year at Army teaching medical centers, as well as large and small Army community hospitals in the U.S. and Europe.
So far, Hologic has received orders for five R2 ImageChecker Dmax Ultra systems, five ImageChecker DX systems, and three Checkmate Ultra display units.
