Dexela awarded development grant

Breast imaging developer Dexela of London has been awarded a grant for 360,000 pounds ($ 744,156 U.S.) by U.K.'s Technology Strategy Board as part of a collaborative research and development program to improve digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) for early breast cancer detection.

The grant will be used to develop a second-generation DBT device that incorporates technical innovations and research developments from researchers at the Center for Medical Image Computing at University College London and Oxford University Wolfson Medical Vision Laboratory.
