Medical imaging firm Analogic of Peabody, MA, is combining its OEM medical businesses, linking the digital mammography detector business with the CT and MRI business.
Effective May 1, Mervat Faltas will become senior vice president and general manager of the newly combined business unit. Faltas previously served as president of Analogic's Anrad subsidiary, which develops and manufactures the company's selenium-based x-ray detector plates for digital mammography systems.
Peter Howard, who previously headed the CT and MRI OEM medical business, will focus on exploring new opportunities for applications of Analogic's technologies and on newly developing markets.
Faltas joined Anrad in 2005 as vice president of operations and was named president in 2006. Prior to Anrad, she served as president and CEO of Montreal-based ITF Optical Technologies, which designs and manufactures advanced photonics products.
