Mammography information systems developer PenRad Technologies has signed a letter of intent covering a technology integration deal with breast imaging software developer Matakina International.
Under the deal, PenRad's mammography information system will be used to display Matakina's Volpara breast imaging software, which computes volumetric breast tissue density from digital screening mammograms. Volpara is currently available for use with digital mammography systems from Hologic and GE Healthcare; validation of integration with other systems is currently under way, according to the firms.
