NEC Display Solutions of America has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its 21.3-inch MultiSync MD211G3 medical display for the viewing of digital mammography images.
As with other MultiSync MD series displays, MD211G3 is designed to provide reliable screen uniformity, and it is factory-calibrated to the DICOM grayscale function for luminance, NEC said. A front sensor maintains a calibrated brightness and an ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display's brightness based on existing lighting conditions.
