In this poster presentation, a group from the University of California, San Francisco will discuss how laws mandating breast density reporting may cause more confusion than clarity until measuring breast density becomes more standard.
Notifying women of their breast density in mammography reports has become political as states pass legislation mandating notification, according to Dr. Silaja Yitta and colleagues. Breast density can be measured as a BI-RADS score or percent dense volume.
