Breast density software developer Matakina International said it has completed the 100th installation of its Volpara objective breast density measurement software, with the most recent installation at Rome Memorial Hospital in Rome, NY.
The software is designed to help overcome mammography's limitations in detecting cancer in women with dense breasts, Matakina said. Volpara generates automated measurements of breast density values along with a BI-RADS breast density classification for mammograms acquired from any commercially available digital mammography system.
