Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer VuCOMP has won a contract for its M-Vu CAD system with a Florida radiology practice.
BayView Radiology in Tampa will use the system with its new Aspire HD Plus digital mammography unit from Fujifilm Medical Systems USA, according to VuCOMP.
M-Vu CAD received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval in January 2012 for use with mammography systems, and it received a supplementary approval for digital mammography in October 2012, the firm said.
