Breast imaging radiologists from teleradiology services provider Virtual Radiologic (vRad) have been certified to read and interpret digital breast tomosynthesis.
The certification and accreditation for 3D mammograms comes from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The reading services will be accessible to all vRad clients in early 2016, following the completion of a pilot program that will include Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX, vRad said.
