Texas governor signs DBT insurance bill

Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas has signed legislation requiring insurance providers to cover digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) for women older than 35, with no co-payment.

HB 1036 was introduced in January of this year by Rep. Senfronia Thompson. It will go into effect on September 1.
