Vermont Gov. Phil Scott on May 21 signed into law HB 639, a bill that requires insurers in that state to cover additional breast imaging services without enforcing cost-sharing requirements.
By October, Vermont's Department of Financial Regulation will release a regulatory guidance outlining the coding structure for screening mammograms, ultrasound scans, and callback screenings, according to the bill.
The law goes into effect on January 1, 2019.
