3-D software developer Vital Images reported record quarterly revenues of $2.3 million, up 30% from the $1.7 million booked for the same period last year. For its first quarter (end-March 31) 2000, the Minneapolis-based firm had a net loss of $665,000, compared with a net loss of $765,000 for the first quarter of 1999. The company announced that it is continuing to build its infrastructure, adding to its direct sales force and devoting additional resources to R&D.
