Three-dimensional-software developer Vital Images reported revenue for its second quarter of $4.8 million, up 32% from $3.6 million in the second quarter of 2001. The Plymouth, MN-based company reported net income of $201,000 for the quarter (end-June 30), compared to a net loss of $402,000 in the second quarter of 2001.
For the first two quarters of 2002, revenue increased to $9.3 million from $7.3 million for the same period of 2001, a gain of 33%. The net loss for the first half of 2002 declined to $46,000 compared with a net loss of $1 million for the first half of the prior year.
