Three-dimensional-software developer Vital Images has unveiled version 3.1 of its Vitrea 2 3-D software for CT and MR images. The software includes enhancements to its colonography capability that improve workflow efficiency and usability, according to the Plymouth, MN-based firm.
Vital Images has added Study Viewer, a feature that provides visualization of imaging data while the patient is being scanned. This allows radiologists to verify that images are adequate for diagnosis and fully cover the anatomy of interest before releasing the patient, Vital Images said.
The company said it would begin distributing the new release immediately to new customers and to installed Vitrea 2 sites with maintenance agreements.
