Three-dimensional-software developer Vital Images has named Philip Smith as vice president of corporate development. Smith, who has 11 years of experience with medical technology companies, joins the Minneapolis-based firm following stints as president and CEO of Thermonix, and vice president of marketing and business development for Image-Guided Neurologics. In his new post, Smith will lead Vital Images’ efforts to develop strategic relationships, according to the vendor.
