Bartron of New Haven, CT, will demonstrate Medical Segmentation System (Med-Seg), a software package for medical image segmentation. The company believes that by separating medical images into different segments, its software can help radiologists visualize features that they might not otherwise see.
Med-Seg customers install a dedicated workstation at their site that includes functions such as segmentation feature extraction, pattern recognition, and image classification. Images are transferred to Bartron for additional analysis.
Bartron believes that Med-Seg has applications in breast, soft-tissue, osteoporosis, dental, neurology, and cardiology imaging.
