Orthocrat

2005 11 16 14 50 20 706

The Houston company will introduce OrthoMacro, a new orthopedic surgical planning and templating application, at the RSNA meeting.

2005 11 16 14 50 20 706 OrthoMacro allows orthopedists to build measurement protocols in either a prospective or retrospective fashion. Results are stored in a TraumaCad database, where standard off-the-shelf statistical analysis tools can be applied. Protocols are also saved to a Web-based server, where they can be accessed by other TraumaCad users in the facility.

In addition, Orthocrat will demonstrate a new thin-client version of TraumaCad that enables deployment of the application throughout a healthcare enterprise, over a hospital network or the Internet. The new configuration eliminates the need to install a copy of TraumaCad at each workstation, and it enables users to access data from outside the enterprise via the Web.

Orthocrat will also show its efforts to more tightly integrate its software with PACS applications from other vendors, such as Fujifilm Medical Systems USA of Stamford, CT.
