Mercury unveils new 3D platform

Mercury Computer Systems will showcase its Visage imaging and visualization software at next week's 2005 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

Targeted at OEMs, Visage features the firm's 3D to the Core concept, in which 3D imaging is brought to the core of workflow, according to the Chelmsford, MA-based vendor.

Visage CS Thin Client/Server brings 3D-viewing capabilities to multiple users in the hospital and at remote sites, using existing PCs and laptops, Mercury said. Other Visage offerings include RT Image Reconstruction, VR Volume Rendering, WS Workstation, and PACS.
