Dear AuntMinnie Member,
Advanced visualization techniques are revolutionizing medical imaging by making it possible to produce breathtaking 3D movies that illustrate the human body in exquisite detail. But you might be out of luck if you're looking for a single location on the Web where you can upload your movies and view clips produced at other imaging sites.
That is, until now. AuntMinnie.com is pleased to announce the launch of our AV Gallery, a new special section in our Advanced Visualization Digital Community designed to be a central location for imaging specialists to view and upload 3D movie clips … think of it as YouTube for radiology.
In the AV Gallery, you can upload your own 3D clips, or view movies that other 3D users have produced. Our goal is for the AV Gallery to further speed the proliferation of advanced visualization techniques by demonstrating the amazing power of their technology.
See for yourself by viewing the clips already in the gallery, which you can reach at avgallery.auntminnie.com. And if you're interested in submitting a clip, just let us know by filling out our clip submission form, available by clicking here.
In other news in the Advanced Visualization Digital Community, the use of 3D is rapidly increasing in trauma applications, improving surgical planning and eliminating or reducing the extent of invasive surgeries. In addition, the technology is also fostering face-to-face collaboration between radiologists and surgeons, according to an article we're featuring this week by contributing writer Cynthia Keen.
