Cedara Software and U.K. advanced visualization firm Biotronics3D have signed an agreement granting Biotronics3D a license to market versions of its 3Dnet Suite family of 3D visualization software that support Cedara's C4 technology.
Under the deal, Biotronics3D will distribute C4-enabled Biotronics3D applications to OEMs that are adopting the Mississauga, Ontario-based firm's C4 (Cedara Clinical Control Center) framework and other C4 clinical application modules.
In other Cedara news, the company's parent firm, Merge Healthcare, is also introducing new orthopedic planning software. OrthoWorks ProPlanner features several automated functions such as image stitching, hip planning, and reporting,
It's also designed for integration into existing imaging platforms such as PACS, and can support surgical planning, templating, archiving, and distribution, Cedara said.
