Advanced visualization developer Vital Images has released several product upgrades, including Vitrea 4.0 and ViTALConnect 4.1.
The upgraded software features advanced visualization and analysis capabilities for workstation, remote, and Web-based clients, with enhancements to the Minneapolis-based company's cardiovascular, neurovascular, and gastrointestinal applications.
Also part of the 4.0 release is the ColonCAD computer-aided detection software from U.K. developer Medicsight of London. ColonCAD is available in Europe with Vitrea 4.0, and will be shipped in the U.S. following U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance.
Vital Images also released ViTAL EP, a new electrophysiology planning application to augment its cardiovascular suite of products.
